MonitorTest is a tool that allows users to investigate the quality and performance of their computer monitor or LCD flat panel screens using a series of test patterns. Each of the 25 different test screens have been created to test a particular aspect of the monitors performance. MonitorTest runs in Windows and will work at any resolution, aspect ratio and color depth supported by your monitor and graphics card and will support multiple monitor.
ModemTest performs low level testing of dial up modems and telephone lines. Testing is preferably done with two modems but a single modem can also be used. Tests are independent of ISP and TCP/IP settings. ModemTest logs any data corruption and incorporates a modem speed test which reports the initial connection speed and the actual throughput. ModemTest helps to isolate faults with your ISP, dial up modem and telephone line.
WirelessMon 2.0 enables a person to detect and monitor Access Points (AP) on any wireless (WiFi) networks within range. The program provides substantial information including whether an AP is secure (or not) and its availability for use. A live channel usage chart helps identify potential interference problems. Users of the Professional Edition can generate signal strength coverage maps by either manually plotting points or using a GPS device.
TestLog is an integrated test case management system. It provides a tool for test teams to create and update effective test cases. TestLog places a large emphasis on requirements management, as inefficiencies in this area are among the most serious causes of slippages, setbacks and even failures in the software product development life cycle. It encourages a structured approach to the use of test plans emphasising the reuse of test cases.
DiskCheckup measures the performance and 'health' of your S.M.A.R.T. enabled hard disk drive. It compares current hard disk attributes to values determined by the manufacturer of the HDD. It can track changes to the attributes over time and make a extrapolated 'prediction' as to the failure date of the HDD. It can be command line driven and can be configured to send alerts by email. Free for personal use, $US 15.00 for commercial use.
An easy to use Windows program that allows the monitoring of laptop computer batteries and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Graphically see the battery charge / discharge rate, diagnose problem battery cells, compare your batteries performance with expected discharge rates and see the status of each individual battery pack (when multiple batteries are in use). More than 20 statistics are provided including voltage, chemistry and capacity.
PerformanceTest enables anyone to objectively benchmark their computer by putting it through twenty-eight tests in six test suites, designed to cover all aspects of computing performance. Compare your PC's performance with built-in baselines, or download comparison data from a huge database of baselines from PassMark. Export results to a variety of formats. Customize tests to conduct in-depth performance analysis.
BurnInTest is an easy to use software tool that simultaneously exercises all major components of a computer, to test for endurance and reliability. Tests include CPU, RAM, disk, video, CD/DVD, printer, serial, parallel, USB, tape and Network.
