AntiSpy Pro, by DevelopEx, is a nifty utility that helps keep the things you consider private just that - private! And I found that unlike many similar products, this program is designed to really cover all the bases. To begin with, it can clear the entire history kept in your Web browser. And, the program supports Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla, and America Online. Very slick. It can also take care of files you've downloaded, Web browser plug-ins, cookies, and the Internet cache. One very nice feature is that it also allows you to eliminate things based on date and will also let you create a list of items that should be excluded. But AntiSpy Pro doesn't stop there!
AntiSpy Pro, continues to provide protection by going the extra mile. For example, it can remove the histories of files you've searched for, or opened. It can also eliminate your "tracks" from such things as RealPlayer, ACDSee, the Windows "Start Menu", and even from various "messenger" programs. Really excellent, but there's still more!
The program supports a host of plug-ins for other popular programs like KaZaa, WinZip, and many others. And at the same time you can even create your own plug-ins, using tools the program provides, for a truly customized purpose. You can eliminate things from the Windows Registry (be careful there), off any of your drives, and lots more. Still don't think your privacy is private enough? Well, AntiSpy Pro has you covered because if all the rest wasn't enough, it also has a feature to "shred" and "wipe" files so nothing can be restored. Excellent!
AntiSpy Pro, by DevelopEx, is a powerful tool for anyone that wants to remove evidence from a PC of what they've used, what they've searched for, where they've been, and more. Believe me, when this baby is done working you won't know where you've been. It does a very fast, efficient, and thorough job. And I like the fact that it's very flexible and supports programs that no similar product I've seen does. I've looked at a number of similar programs and this is the best I've found. So, if you're an individual or within a business and there are things you want to keep private,this is the program to try. Check it out!
Blaze TrayAudio, by Mystik Media, is a neat little program for making the most of all your sounds files. One of the things I like best about this product is that doesn't hog system resources yet it still provides you with what you want. It handles an impressive list of sound formats, including MP3, CDA, MP2, SND, MIDI, WMA, AIF, AIFF, AU, and more. And it's loaded with features so you can get the most out of your music. It has an intuitive interface that's extremely easy-to-use and that makes it perfect for both new and experienced users. It has all the buttons and functions you'd expect in a good music player. So, I'll tell you about some of the features I like best.
Blaze TrayAudio lets you play songs the way you want to. The program makes it easy to create "playlists" of all the songs you like best. Creating and saving playlists is nice, because you can load one of these and get back to what you were doing. One neat feature in Blaze TrayAudio is that you can actually save your playlists as HTML files. Very slick! Another cool feature found in playlists is that they are self-maintaining. That is to say that the program will remove files that are no longer on your computer or any duplicates. When the music starts to play, the program is outta there and resides in the Windows system tray. And, while in the tray you can access a good number of functions by right-clicking on the tray icon. Very nicely done.
Blaze TrayAudio, by Mystik Media, is a program that performs a function and performs it well! It has all the features most people would want without making you run out to buy more RAM. It makes it easy to create, save, load, and use playlists. It come with all of the standard buttons, but also has a mute button, a balance control, and a nice 'slider' for controlling volume. And, it also supports "skins" so you can easily change the way the program looks. So, if you're looking for a program for playing your music files take a really good look at this one. It's one of the best you'll find. Very nicely done!
On-Time Operator, by Isuru, is a powerful tool for running unattended operations under the Windows. The program has the facility to run a computer program, such as an executable program, at any predetermined interval. Intervals can be set by frequency, like every 30 minutes, or scheduled for a given time of day, like 3:00 p.m. Its intuitive graphical user interface allows the user to navigate the application and make selections. I found the interface to be very intuitive and the program is easy-to-use. Automatic file management is built right in to the main program. With this feature you can copy, move, rename, and even backup files and folders and do it all without supervision. You can also create folders, compare files and folders, and more. And, to help eliminate clutter, the program also purges unwanted items from its own schedule.
On-Time Operator keeps a detailed log of all executed events. If desired, you can even have the program send you an email, telling you if a scheduled process was a success. Very slick! And besides file management, there are also an impressive number of add-on features available. These add-on modules are sold separately so you can have exactly the ones you want - a nice idea.The add-on functions are distributed as DLL files that, when placed in the On-Time Operator folder, immediately give the program that new function. Just a few of the add-on features include, File Transfer Protocol Client, Network File Transfer, Pop-up Exterminator, File Transfer Protocol Server, and more. Quite impressive.
On-Time Operator, by Isuru, is a program that's powerful, yet also easy-to-use. It's ideal for businesses, or for anyone who needs to be able to run functions totally unattended. And while the base program supports file management, the program provides a way, through add-ons, to have On-Time Operator control a large number of functions. It keeps a log of what it does and can even notify you by email. The program works extremely well and can make you more productive. So, if you're looking for a tool that can run programs and more totally unattended, then this is a product you need to look at! Give it a try!
Well, once again we've come to the end of the reviews for this week. I truly hope you enjoyed reading about these Picks. I know that I really enjoyed evaluating them and writing about them. Michael E. Callahan, known around the world by the trademarked name "Dr. File Finder", is regarded as the world's leading expert on shareware. Dr. File Finder works with software programs and developers full-time, and in the average year he evaluates 10,000 programs. Since 1982 he has evaluated over 190,000 software and hardware products. He is an active member of the shareware community and a co-founder of the Shareware Industry Awards Foundation. Mr. Callahan is an honorary member of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP), the President of the Educational Software Cooperative (ESC), and the chairman of the Shareware Industry Awards Foundation (SIAF). Dr. File Finder™ is also a recipient of the 1993 Shareware Industry Award for lifetime achievement and has been inducted into the ASP Hall of Fame. Mr. Callahan began evaluating software online in 1982 and no one has been at it longer. He currently works doing online PR and marketing for software companies.
