!Easy ScreenSaver Studio, by DDSoft, is a really nifty tool for creating your own, personalized screen savers. With so many people now using digital photos and getting into MP3 music, creating your own screen saver is a natural extension. Combine those pictures and sounds into a screen saver that really means something to you. This product does a beautiful job and I was quite impressed with it. The program is very easy-to-use and the interface is very intuitive. That makes the program perfect for both new and experienced users. With the help of a handy "wizard", anyone can walk step-by-step through the process of making a first-rate screen saver.
!Easy ScreenSaver Studio gives you the option of creating a self-installing executable file (EXE), or you can create a standard screen saver file. These files have an extension of .SCR. Another really cool feature is that you can actually go back in and edit screen savers you've already made with the program. So, change some of the pictures, put in a new sound track -- whatever you want to do. The program can snag pictures directly from your digital camera or your scanner. And when your pictures are in the screen saver you can have them play in a specific order, or have them randomized. Very cool! And, the program can utilize up to 128 different "transition" effects between pictures. Wow! And, if all that weren't enough, you can add a musical sound track to your screen saver using MP3, MIDI, WAV, or even WMA music files.

So, if you're looking for a program to create your own screen savers, take a good look at this program! This is one of the best programs of its kind that I've seen. Try it!
Tenebril Uninstaller, by Tenebril Incorporated, is a very neat "uninstall" program that has some excellent features. One of the big problems that I find with looking at some many programs is that so many of them leave junk on my computer when I uninstall them. Then I have to go in and manually remove as much of the junk as I can find. Time-consuming and tedious. With Tenebril's Uninstaller, removing a program is a snap. Why? Because the program can monitor the entire installation of a program. It knows what a program installed, where it put things, and the like. So, when you want to remove that program, it knows exactly what to do! It even searches your Windows Registry for inactive or dead "keys" and removes them. Slick!
Tenebril Uninstaller also has another neat feature not found in other "uninstall" programs. It's a nifty way to monitor the programs that automatically start when Windows starts. What's neat is that you can remove programs or add them, as needed. Very slick. And another feature that I found particularly interesting is that Tenebril Uninstaller also helps you manage the infamous cookies. That's right. You pick which ones stay and which ones you delete. Just remember to be careful when you remove cookies. Why? Because it's cookies that give you some of the personalize content on the Internet that you may like. Your customized "home" page for example, with your weather and your local news. So, use this feature with caution.
Tenebril Uninstaller, by Tenebril Incorporated, is a powerful uninstaller program and a lot more. It monitors a programs installation so it knows exactly what to remove. It can remove registry keys, and even has an "undo" feature if you want to restore a key you removed. It lets you monitor the programs that start with Windows, and easily add or remove programs. And, if all this weren't enough, the program will also help you to manage the infamous "cookies." So, if you'd like a great way to uninstall programs, while getting all these other neat features at the same time, this is the program you need to get. Very nicely done -- I recommend it!
WinSettings, by FileStream, Inc., is a feature-rich program that does so many things. I've been in computers a long time and I have to admit it, I like to tinker. It's in my nature, at least when it comes to computers. I like programs that pick one task and do it well, but I also like a program that can do a number of task well. And WinSettings helps you to accomplish a lot of interesting tasks. For one, it allows you to clean up all of the "tracks" you leave when you surf the Web. It can clean up your surfing history, remove cookies, eliminate the Internet "cache", and more! Nicely done. Another nifty feature built right in is the ability to capture the screen. And not only will it capture something off the screen, it will put that capture in an email for you. And, it even provides you with the basic tools for you to edit an image. Slick!!
WinSettings goes on to do even more cool things. One of my favorites is the ability to play background music on your computer. It can also handle file "associations" with ease. For those who aren't clear on that, file associations link specific programs to specific file types. Like DOC files to Microsoft Word, or all graphics files to your graphics editor, and so on. WinSettings really makes setting these file associations quick and easy. Ahhh, but there's more. You can use the program to create areas on your screen that will activate your screen saver -- very slick. Plus, you can have the program change your desktop wallpaper when Windows starts and it helps you change the standard Windows system icons, like My Computer. Very nicely done!
WinSettings, by FileStream, Inc., is a powerful tool, that's very easy-to-use. The interface is intuitive, so it's great for both new and experienced users. And what I like about it is that it lets you do so many things. Change system icons, play background music, create "tray" icon menus, take and email a screen shot, and lots, lots, more. And, it not only does these things, but it does all of them well! So, if you'd like to tinker a bit and have some interesting features right at your fingertips, take a really good look at WinSettings. It's a beautifully done piece of software. I recommend it highly!
