Dewqs' No More Spam, by Dewqs' Tribes, won the Shareware Industry Award for "Best Internet Enhancement." The program can monitor up to 25 email accounts at once and filter out the vast majority of SPAM. And, as you use the program you can help to make it more efficient. Ban domains, individual senders, and even particular words or phrases. You can also protect "friends", like all the people in your address book. That way, emails from those people won't get filtered out. Good email goes in an "Inbox" while bad email goes into an "Outbox". Dewqs' NMS keeps a log of what it's done, and keeps deleted emails in a quarantine folder. The program really puts you in control and offers a wide range of configurable options.
Dewq's No More Spam is really a powerful tool for dealing with one of the biggest problems on the Internet -- unwanted email or SPAM! With two levels of protection, three levels of surveillance, reports, logs, and lots more, it's a real powerhouse. And, when you're on the road, it has a "Travellite" feature to block really large emails. There's also a version specifically for Microsoft Outlook. So, if you're looking for something to help deal with junk email, take a good look at Dewq's NMS. I think you'll find out why it won a Shareware Industry Award!
FTP Voyager, by RhinoSoft.Com, also won the Shareware Industry Award in the "Best Internet Enhancement" category because we had a tie! The program is excellent and simply loaded with great features.
When the program is running it monitors the Windows clipboard, so you can copy a file link from a site and the program will start the file download for you. FTP Voyager has a built-in scheduler so you can schedule file transfers you want to do. This feature lets you automate tasks like updating your Web pages. It has the power to download, upload, delete, and even synchronize files! Very cool!
FTP Voyager will let you create lists of files for both downloads or uploads. It also supports drag and drop, so you can simply drag files to the interface for transfer. And, if you want, the program will even dial your Internet connection for you -- can't get much easier than that. The program is powerful, but it's also very easy-to-use. That makes it perfect for both new and experienced users. Easy to see why it's won a Shareware Industry Awards more than once! A beautifully done piece of software, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.
The Bat!, by RITLABS, won the Shareware Industry Award for "Best Web Enhancement." This is a really excellent email client that's just loaded with features. It supports both POP3 and IMAP4 email and can handle multiple accounts. It has multi-lingual support and a "spell-as-you-go" feature that catches spelling errors as you type. There's also message filtering, a built-in HTML viewer, and a
powerful macro/scripting language. The message filtering is very powerful and the best I've ever used. You can configure the user interface, import messages from major email programs, and organize your email in Explorer-style folders. It also has message templates that are fully customizable, to give your email some flair. And, it gives you flexibility because each folder can have its own "signature". Very slick.
The Bat! has so many great features that it's difficult to tell you about all of them. It has nifty things -- like a mail "ticker" that shows you the headers of your incoming mail just like a stock ticker. Very slick! At the same time it has a wide range of really useful functions like the ability to purge or compress all of your email folders. And, if you're concerned about security, the program has support for PGP (Pretty Good Privacy), to keep your email secure.
So, give this award-winning program a try for yourself. I'm betting that you'll like it as much as I do. Very nicely done.
ClipMate, by Thornsoft Development, Inc., won the Shareware Industry Award for "Best Overall Utility." This program is a personal favorite of mine. It makes your Windows clipboard into a powerful clip-handling machine. ClipMate can hold hundreds of clips and you can even create folders to house special clip items. Each time you "copy" or "cut" something new, the program 'remembers' or saves that clip. You can actually have collections of items you paste into things often. And that includes text and graphics.
ClipMate, is a powerful tool that you'll find yourself using all the time. In fact, try it and you'll find you come to depend on it. Create collections of clips that you'll use over and over again.
You can give each clip a unique name so they're easy to remember. You can also designate any collection as a "safe" collection. That means that if you should forget and try to delete a protected clip, you'll be prompted first. That way, nothing gets deleted accidentally. You can also have collections that are limited by size, or by the number of days they've been in the program. You can also print your clips, edit them, and lots more. ClipMate can even reformat quoted sections of email and remove all of the ">" quote symbols. A great way to clean-up jokes and other material you get via email. So, give it a try -- I know you're going to love it!

Michael E. Callahan, known around the world by the trademarked name "Dr. File Finder", is regarded as the world's leading expert on shareware. Dr. File Finder works with software programs and developers full-time, and in the average year he evaluates 10,000 programs. Since 1982 he has evaluated over 190,000 software and hardware products. He is an active member of the shareware community and a co-founder of the Shareware Industry Awards Foundation. Mr. Callahan is an honorary member of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP), the President of the Educational Software Cooperative (ESC), and the chairman of the Shareware Industry Awards Foundation (SIAF). Dr. File Finder™ is also a recipient of the 1993 Shareware Industry Award for lifetime achievement and has been inducted into the ASP Hall of Fame. Mr. Callahan began evaluating software online in 1982 and no one has been at it longer. He currently works doing online PR and marketing for software companies.
