Registry First Aid, by Rose City Software is a cool tool for clearing all the junk out of the Windows Registry! And if you don't think there's junk in there, think again! Lots of programs simply don't do a good job of cleaning up after themselves. And all that excess baggage comes back to haunt you by slowing your machine down, or making it freeze up. Registry First Aid solves that problem by finding all the leftover junk and letting you remove it!
Registry First Aid scans registry and looks for entries that point to programs that are no longer there. It looks for orphan folders and files
and can remove these as well. And it works really quickly. When it finishes a scan it clearly displays everything it found. Then you can tell the program to eliminate everything OR select just specific things. The program also creates an "undo" file so if you wanted to you could restore the registry. Pretty slick!
Registry First Aid, by Rose City Software, is a really handy utility that will help keep your registry clean and efficient. It's both safe and easy-to-use. I use it about once a week just to keep all the junk out of my registry. And, it creates an undo file, so if needed you can restore. To keep your computer running fast and problem-free, give Registry First Aid a try. I think you'll like it!
Windows Commander, by C. Ghisler and Company, is a nifty file manager that's been around for years! And I think it's a great alternative to the file manager that comes with Windows. The interface is very intuitive and that also makes it easy-to-use. There are any number of file managers out there that have more features, but for getting the basic job done, Windows Commander rules!
You can use Windows Commander to easily make new directories (folders), delete files, copy files, and move files. The display is divided into two (2) panes, so you can have a different drive, or directory, on each side. That makes it a snap to whip files back and forth and manipulate them in any way you want. Windows Commander can also work with compressed files like ZIP, LZH, and ARJ. Another cool feature is that you can treat an FTP connection just like it was another "drive" on your computer. Yeah, pretty slick and it makes it nice for managing your FTP site!
Windows Commander, by Christian Ghisler, is a file manager for Windows that's loaded with features. It's extremely easy-to-use and that makes it great for both advanced and novice users. For working with files, folders, and drives, it's the perfect tool. So, take command of the situation and check out Windows Commander. Very nicely done!
Yeah Write!, by Word Place, Inc., is a slick word processing tool that makes handling text easy and fun. It's been designed from the ground up to eliminate the clunkiness found in most word processors so you can get down to writing! To begin with, Yeah, Write! is setup like the drawers in a filing cabinet. The default drawer is named "Papers." Inside the drawer are tabs that represent different document types. The program comes with preconfigured templates for various types of documents and information. These templates appear as tabs you can easily select. There are templates for Diary, Addresses, Email, Fax, Journal, and more.
You can hide tabs you don't use or delete them completely. You can also rename tabs. In addition, you can add new tabs and give them names you want. So, if you find you like the "Notes" template you can make another one and call it "Ideas" or anything you like. You can also select the colors used by each of your tabs. If that weren't enough, you can also create new drawers, complete with another full set of tabs. And, if you wish, you can password protect drawers to keep your data safe. You can also move or copy documents from one tab to another, or from one drawer to another. This is great if you want to have more than one copy of a document or if you find you entered a document in the wrong folder. And the program automatically saves all your work for you -- no file names to remember!
Yeah, Write!, by Word Place, Inc., is an impressive piece of programming. It's excellent for both new and experienced users. It's an innovative program that takes a lot of the hassle out of writing while giving you all of the best things you want from a word processor and then some. For those who'd like to avoid all the complexity of a full-fledged word processor while having the key benefits, this is it. You owe it to yourself to give Yeah, Write! a try -- I'm sure you'll be very glad you did!
