DVD software player for DVD authors using Mediachance's "DVD lab" or "DVD lab PRO". Special functions include real-time display of all DVD player Registers (SPRMs and GPRMs), real-time navigation logging and extensive DVD analysis. This program is not designed to be a replacement for consumer-oriented software players such as "PowerDVD" or "WinDVD".
Now includes a Filter Manager which helps you manage all DirectX filters installed on your PC. Also included as an option is a smaller more compact version that runs as a .NET application on Windows-based .NET Framework equipped PCs (not Windows Mobile or PPC). The 2.4Mb online help file fully documents both players and also provides valuable DVD authoring information.
Note that if you are connected to the Internet at the time you install this suite, the Setup program will automatically download any needed additional components including the latest version of Microsoft's DirectX runtime as well as version 1.1 of the .NET Framework runtime (if you have elected to install DVD Player.NET). But if you're not connected and either of these runtime components is required, you will be prompted to download them separately (the URL addresses for direct downloads is provided).
