This EBook is a transcript of my father's war diaries. He was captured by the Japanese at the fall of Singapore and spent 3 and a half years as a POW in Changi and the "Railway of Death" and somehow managed to keep a diary hidden for all of those years. The hardships deprivations, brutality and inhumanity that thousands of unfortunate souls like my father had to suffer by the Japanese are quite unimaginable. I have provided his diary as a reminder that the freedoms that many take for granted have been attained at a considerable cost in lives, cruelty and suffering.
