VBackup runs on the command-line and is built to be easily usable within batch or scripts. It reads a backup specification file (in plain text) to decide which drives, folders, files to include in the backup. Folders and files never to be backed up can also be specified. During an incremental backup, files which haven't changed in content are not backed up. VBackup will back up files to any local or network drive that's accessible in Windows Explorer. It can generate a listing of all files included in a backup. Simulation backups are supported to see which files would be in a backup without actually doing any file copy. Filenames in local languages (ex. Japanese, Chinese, etc) are supported.
