FtpVC (FTP Version Control) is a very simple version control system which
allows joined software development using Internet FTP connections. This
program permits developers to get, check out, check in, and undo check out
files on a remote server, that are part of a software project. It also
allows to compare files on the server to their local versions showing
results in a two-pane window.In other words, FtpVC may be used for version
control of source files, the makefile, or any other data. The simplicity
of this program, in its current form, lies in the fact that it lacks some
advanced features that are common to modern version control systems:
branching, merging, etc. Also, currently FtpVC optionally stores previous
versions of files instead of (more common for version control systems)
reverse deltas. On the other hand, it provides something that other version
control systems do not. FtpVC has all of the basic features which are
necessary for any collaborative development over the internet. Thus, users
from all over the world can now jointly and safely work on the same project
without the possibility of conflict.
The DMU� translates managerial indicators (metrics) values into a true dashboard gauge style. It is intended to answer at a low cost, a high demand from managers for a format that provides an attractive and effective way to grasp at a glance where the organization stands.

The DMU� has a unique feature, not found in other systems, that could translate any metric value into a standard score on the 1-10 scale, thus enabling the comparison between metrics with different units of measure.
The utility is very flexible, and could fit a vast range of templates that should answer most of the needs for a dashboard format.
The DMU� has some special templates that could accommodate the Balanced Scorecard approach for the grouping of measures.
The utility is built around Microsoft Excel, so that the user should not have any difficulty to familiarize with the tool. Moreover, he could use all the Excel powerful built-in features. For example, he may combine on the same layout, regular charts and gauges.
The fact that the DMU� is built around Microsoft Excel should not in any case leads to the conclusion that it is a "trivial" utility. In fact, it is a very sophisticated tool with a lot of programming and algorithms acting "behind the scene".
