Ah, the end of the week...finally. The boss has been unmerciful this week; he's actually expected me to do something called "work" which I considered to be highly unreasonable. I tried to convince him that I had a full plate with researching FreeCell but he wasn't buying....

MSDE Manager is a bit out of my league these days but it struck me as something that would be very handy if you were migrating to .Net and didn't want to shell out the big bucks for SQL. MSDE Manager is a management tool for MSDE (Microsoft's free version), which otherwise comes without.

BootIt is back with an update. It's not as fancy as some of the other partition/boot managers out there (and I think I've bought them all) but in my opinion it's just as good and it's going to be a lot less money. Worth checking out if you want to run multiple operating systems and manage partitions.

Text editors seem to be as personal as anything and I've found mine and you'd have to pry it from my cold hands but if you're still looking for your perfect editor give a look at Boxer. I've been following it from the DOS days and the author has continued to innovate and expand it. Worth your consideration.

I'm not an Elliott Wave student but I had to mention the Elliott Wave Analyzer simply because it costs $3,995....yeow! Anybody who buys it let me know, I need a loan for a couple of happy meals. I have absolutely no idea what this has to do with Elliot Wave theory but while we're talking numbers be sure and check out the new Google calculator from the google search window or browser tool bar. Yeah, well, it's just a calculator, right, what's the big deal? This one is a bit more. Type in stuff like 3 percent of 1267 and see what happens. Way cool (see what kind of neat stuff you get here).

The not another anti-spam program award goes to watchDirectory (two versions; freeware and shareware. watchDirectory automatically starts a .bat or .cmd file when a directory its watching changes. For instance if you have a correspondence folder and you change or add something you could have a batch file executed that would back it up. Pretty cool idea.
