The Solunar Table Calculator was originally designed to help me to catch more fish. That's what I do when I'm not working, spending time with the family or playing golf! As you can see, there's not much time left for fishing, so I wanted to be able to target the days when I'd have a better chance of catching enough for a meal.
The program produces a report for the month, year and location selected. This report shows, for the entire month, sun and moon rise and set times, moon phase, whether the moon is waxing or waning, major and minor activity periods, and gives a rating as to the predicted animal activity on that day in the month.
Locations for producing the report can be selected from the list of supplied locations. You can also add your own locations into the data file via the program, or you can alter the details for locations already in the file.
When you open the program, a report is produced for the last selected month/year/location you were using when you closed the program last time.
The report can be printed on any graphics capable printer, be it color or black and white, or it can be exported in PDF or CSV formatse for electronic transmission or printing at a later time.
Version 1.3 now allows you to set the exact start and end dates for DST at your location.
Version 1.31 fixes a problem with the year selector
Version 1.32 refines the calculation of the times on the report
Version 1.33 corrects a small error in the calculation of the major and minor times in some instances.
Version 1.34 adds the description of the moon phase tothe report and the CSV export.
