Hibernate: This program signals Windows to save the state of your computer and the contents of it's memory to the hard drive and then shut down. Then, when you turn the computer on again, it simply picks up where it left off instead of going through the complete reboot process. Normally to gain access to this feature you would have to adjust the APM control panel applet. This program gives you direct and easy access to this feature regardless of such settings.
