Mapwel allows you to draw your own maps and upload them into the Garmin GPS receiver. Map is drawn with use of vector areas and lines and with points. Scanned chart or aerial photo can be imported into the background of the work area and used as a template for the map drawing. Marine, road or topographic maps, all can be drawn in Mapwel. The same map can be uploaded into color or monochrome GPS. For your convenience, Mapwel allows you to draw the map in any colors you choose and the 'What you see is what you get' interface (WYSIWYG) shows you how the map will look like on the color or monochrome GPS display. Mapwel also simulates the Nighttime and Marine color modes.
