The LDAP API Library is ported using OpenLDAP source. The library also supports User Friendly Names (UFN), it aslo support URL format. The LDAP API also provide the facilty for caching and even sorting the entries. It also can generate filters using the filter configuration files. The library also has the facility to convert the search result in HTML or TEXT format.
