Never heard of Mark Steere's Quadrature? That's all right, most people haven't. Mark seems to have disappeared from the net, but he's left an interesting legacy. [Mark, if you find this, write us!] Cornered is Random Software's version of Quadrature, playable on desktop Windows as well as color palm-size PCs. Infiltrate your opponent's camp and capture the three colored squares on the field behind him. But be careful: your opponent can take over your pieces just by boxing them in, and suddenly his army is larger than yours. Oh, did I mention that your pieces can't retreat?
