I've always struggled with database software. For whatever reason I have a mental block about them. Maybe it's the query method, maybe it's the careful planning that's required but I just don't "get it" and probably never will.

At least that was the case before I stumbled on this clever bit of software way back in 1985; a freeform database. That seems like a zillion years ago but even in the DOS days it was an incredibly powerful program. I'm glad to say that they've continued to improve and enhance over the years.

All this ease creates some limits. For instance you can't do math on database contents, but for me the ease of importing data into a freeform database overrides that easily. This isn't a solution if you want to do payroll but if you want to keep up with your data you won't find anything better.
