BurnQuick
I really like the idea of burning stuff to CD. It should last a long time, it's stable, it's small and it's reasonably fast. Why don't I do it more? Because hauling out the CD burning software is a pain in the neck. Okay, maybe I'm just lazy, but it seems like a lot of work to stop what I'm doing, fire up the CD burning program, burn it and then get back to what I was doing.
Wouldn't it be cool if you could right click a file, select burn and bang, start the process and go back to your work? Ah, now that would be slick, just as easy as a copy to a floppy and that appeals to my well developed sense of laziness.
I was totally blown away when I found BurnQuick, it does just that; installed a new entry on the right click menu that allows me to burn from there or add a file to a queue of files to burn later on. If you want to burn a file immediately but also want to add files later on not a problem, just instruct QuickBurn not to close the CD. The interface couldn't be easier.
The progress of the burn session is just as clean.
BurnQuick can also create several types of CD Audio discs from WAV and MP3 files.
Want to scour your drive and create a list of files to burn? Just add them to the queue and then view the queue and delete or reorder files. Sweet.
I can't rave enough about the functionality, simplicity and elegance of this program.
If you've ever been like me and been too cranky to fire up the CD burner or just want to make it as easy as possible you'll want to check this guy out, this may be my favorite of the year. -- Don Watkins
