Simtel Spotlight - Where the Hottest Programs SHINE! Currently Featuring... CTube! by East Bay Technologies
Limited time offer. Eastbay Tech will give Simtel users $10 off so you get it for $19.97. To take advantage of this offer you can click here to buy now. Enter SIMTUBE in the "Coupon:" field in the name and address page you see when you check out. You can also download and use this coupon code, just be sure to remember it and that you enter it. This is a true story. How can you tell? If it wasn't so embarrassing I wouldn't tell it. ... I was in a meeting with some other folks and the guy that developed the GIF graphics format. After the presentation I opined "nobody is gonna wanna look at pictures on their PC!". Doh! In my defense it was the days where 1200 baud modems were "blazingly fast", the PC processor ran at 4.77Mhz and 16 colors was the graphics standard but okay, I was wrong. Now images are part of virtually every web page and not to repeat my previous blunder someday television and computers will completely converge. What to do until you have a clicker? Finding video on the Internet can be a chore but CTube! integrates it all by creating a nifty channel lineup all in one neat package along with the viewer. CTube! has cataloged over 700 channels of everything from police scanners to news in the nude (no, I'm not kidding, don't forget this is the Internet). Please click on the image to enlarge it. CTube! is way cool for channel surfing. You can set up your favorites and have the program scan through them and I'm not bombarded with other advertising other than that which is part of the program, no pop-ups or other ads. If I want to "manually" switch to another program there's no waiting to go to another web site, click on the video link, wait for the viewer to load, etc. It worked fine on dial up and in fact CTube! will only present dial up compatible stations if that's what you elect to display. At least my wife hasn't found out about it yet as next we'll be fighting over the mouse instead of the clicker! -- Don Watkins
