Speaking Clock Deluxe

I don't know the reason why but I have always turned my computer into a big expensive watch and have been compulsive about the correct time. You'd think I'd be happier with a $19.95 Timex but nah, time programs have always attracted me.

Speaking Clock Deluxe rolls all my time requirements into a tidy package; an actual speaking clock (makes sense). The default language is American English but you can download addition languages.

It offers 50 alarms and the ability to announce the time, play a wave file or even launch another program when the alarm triggers. Alarms can be set for one time or recurring daily, weekly, monthly or annually. Now I can be totally engrossed in a game, uh, productivity software, and Speaking Clock tells me it's time to watch baseball, uh, a PBS documentary.

There's even a timer/stopwatch and time synch to satisfy my compulsive side.

Choose analog or digital displays and wrap it in an attractive graphic package and you have a real winner.

It won't make you on time for your next appointment if you run into traffic or you may forget to enter that special date as an alarm event which would get you in hot water with your better half, but you'll still get a kick out of this speaking clock.
